03SEO

SEO that fixescauses, notsymptoms.

Most SEO sold to small businesses is reporting with a retainer attached. This is the other thing: an audit that finds what is actually holding the site back, and the work to fix it.

01The problem

Rankings are a symptom

When a site does not rank, the cause is usually structural and boring. Pages that cannot be crawled properly. A dozen services crammed onto one URL so none of them can target a query. No internal linking, so ranking signal never reaches the pages that need it. Content that answers nothing a person actually typed.

None of that is fixed by a monthly report. It is fixed by working out which of those things is true of your site, in what order they matter, and then doing the work — which is often less glamorous and more effective than what you were sold last time.

02What it involves

What the work actually is

Technical audit
Crawlability, indexation, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps and robots — checked against the rendered page, not assumed.
Site architecture
How pages relate, what sits within three clicks of the homepage, and which pages are orphaned from internal linking altogether.
Structured data
Schema that describes your business, services, people and content accurately enough for search engines to use it.
Page speed
Core Web Vitals treated as a ranking and conversion issue rather than a vanity score.
Content architecture
One page per intent, titles and headings that match what people search, and an end to pages competing with each other.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile, consistent name-address-phone, local schema and genuine local content — the things that actually move a map pack.

03How it runs

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Audit

The whole site, crawled and rendered. Every finding comes with the evidence that produced it, because a recommendation you cannot verify is just an opinion.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

Findings ordered by impact against effort. Most audits hand over a hundred items; the useful part is knowing which five matter.

  3. 03

    Fix

The implementation, not a document telling someone else to do it. Technical fixes, structural changes, schema, speed work.

  4. 04

    Measure

Search Console as the source of truth. Impressions and positions on the queries that matter, not a vendor dashboard score.

04What you get

What you end up with

  • A prioritised audit with evidence for every finding
  • Technical fixes implemented, not just recommended
  • A structured-data layer that validates
  • Search Console and analytics configured properly
  • Local search foundations where relevant

06Honestly

When this is the wrong service

If your site is brand new and has five pages, SEO is not the constraint — there is nothing to optimise yet, and the honest answer is to build the pages first. If the problem is that visitors arrive and leave, that is a conversion problem wearing an SEO costume.

07Questions

SEO — common questions

01 How long until I see results?

Technical fixes can show in weeks. Competitive positions take months. Anyone giving you a date is guessing, and anyone guaranteeing a position is not being straight with you — nobody controls the ranking.

02 Do you guarantee first page?

No, and neither can anyone else. What we can do is find and fix the reasons a site is not competing, then measure whether it moved.

03 Is local SEO different?

Substantially. Local results are driven by your Google Business Profile, proximity to the searcher and reviews, far more than by on-page work. For a Norwich business the profile usually matters more than anything on the website.

04 Can you do SEO on a site you did not build?

Yes — that is the majority of this work. We audit what is there and work within it rather than proposing a rebuild by default.
